Just A Few of the Best Still Images
Just A Few of the Best Still Images
We were walking along one of the side streets coming back from Notre Dame when I saw this man patiently waiting for the bus while others walked by oblivious to him. I was across street and quickly snapped the image. It turned out to be one my favorite images.
We wanted a different view of the iconic tower other than the traditional snap that is taken from the Trocadero. Heading over to the Invalides to see Napoleon tomb I was taken by t his view, against the clouds and blue sky. Loved it. That's why it's at the top of the page!
The tower is incredibly beautiful at night. The problem in the fall is Paris gets cold and often windy. Frankly, you find yourself working quickly, especially since thousands of others are nearby. The tower is really quintessential Paris.
I couldn't get over the number of vendors with their small Effiel Towers on a sheet or small blanket lit by a portable light. Could you negotiate the price? Sure you could. Did I purchase one? Nope!
I wanted to get a shot of the tower that showed the Seine and the traffic bridge that runs undernearth it. This is a better perspective than directly across from it at the Trocadero. Damned impressive.
Caught this sunrise, just as it was coming up over the
horizon. The sun's flare is not from a filter, but rather
from the high quality Canon L lens. Yes, there's post production,
thanks to DxO and Nik's Efex 5, a super piece of software.
